The Easiest Thing To Do: Loving Your Parents
Most of the people I know have some sort of story about how they dislike one or both of their parents. This script is popular that there are millions of children out there who would be vying for the position of lead actor. But these problems are never given a solution and such problems persist. I came up with ways of dealing with my parents and ever since then relations have been purely sweet.
Engage with your parents on the things that they like. It doesn’t hurt to know what their favorite colors are, or what they dislike the most in this world. It is this aspect of knowing each other that can help us to have more nourishing relationships with our parents. Haven’t you noticed how you get excited when someone asks you something about yourself, it’s the same thing.
Commit their birthdays to memory. Remembering your parent’s birthday and doing something for them on their special days will make them feel different. This is how you love your parents because there isn’t much you can afford to do for them when you really think about it.
Get them something on their anniversary. The other one day you could remember is the date of their anniversary. You may not have realized this but getting them something on their anniversary can be like dry skin care for the wrinkled and dry face, rejuvenating. This will bring your family together even if they were having problems together.
Be successful and independent. The greatest wish my parents had for us was to reach a point where we are able to take care of ourselves without needing their help. When you show your parents that you have become responsible and dependent on yourself they will love you more. It will be like wearing a full face helmet to disguise your old personality.
The normal trend for humanity is that after self sufficiency a young adult is only left with one thing, to family and start his/her own family. In this respect the best gift you can give your parents is grandchildren. Inasmuch as you might not want to have children this will make them very happy indeed.
Be the well behaved child that all parents wish they had. Don’t be too mischievous because this will make you parents sad and angry, two emotions that have nothing to do with love. If you’re itching to tamper with the delonghi space heater you had better think twice because doing so will really upset your parents.
