Setting Up The Ultimate Bath
When it comes to running a bath you need to get it perfect. If done properly it can relax you and leave you feeling chilled out and peaceful. You could find your left with a headache if you don’t get it right.
The first thing you need is a peaceful surrounding and a tidy bathroom. This doesn’t mean you have to go round scrubbing the toilets and basins before you start. Just making sure everything is put away and tidy will be fine.
Getting the water temperature perfect is the most important part of any bath. Unless you’re planning on having a really long bath try not to make it too hot. You’ll end up with a headache and sore skin if you make the water too hot.
As the water is pouring out the taps let any gels or oils you have pour in with it. They’ll fold into the water natually and give you that perfect bubble bath. Any salts or crystals need to go in straight away and preferably under the hot water. They’ll melt quicker and their aromas will be more pleasant.
Now you’ve got the actual bath sorted it’s time to look at the rest of the bathroom. You don’t want the main light on so just light a few candles. Just have a few tea light candles around the edge of the bath to help set the mood. The light from bathroom mirrors is perfect if you need a bit more light but don’t want the main light on. Bathroom mirrors will cast a sensible but not over powering light over the bathroom.
Next add some mood music. The music needs to be relaxing and not something you usually listen to. If you listen to songs and music you hear all the time you’ll find yourself being reminded of day to day things. This means you won’t be relaxing.
