A Razor is a bladed tool primarily used in shaving off unwanted body hair. Razors have been identified from many Bronze Age cultures. Gillette blade is a leading brand known from manufacturing these razors. A lot of men uses razor nowadays to shave off unwanted hair in their body and face. For those men, razor is a necessity.Razor comes from different types and kinds, let’s enumerate each one of these to see what’s the difference of each and which is the most “user friendly.”

1. Straight Razors – These are razors with open steel blades, commonly known as cut-throats. Straight razors consist of blade sharpened on the edge. The blades of which can be made either by stainless steel but it has durable edge. The blade rotates on a pin through its tang between two protective pieces called scales.

2. Disposable Blade Straight Razors – These razors are very similar in appearance to straight razors, however they use either a standard double edged blade or specially made blades. Disposable bladed straights have many of the advantages of straight razors without needing the stropping and honing of ordinary straight razors. They are also popular in travel wash kits as a means of avoiding difficulties with airport security.

3. Safety Razors – The first product where the skin was protected was invented by Frenchman, Jean-Jacques Perret, it was marketed in 1875 by Kampfe Brothers as “the best available shaving method in the market.”

4. Electric Razors – It is also known as electric dry shaver, it does not require the use of shaving creams, soap or water. It was patented by Col. Jacob Schick, and then The Remington Rand Corporation developed the electric razor even further and first produced the Remington brand of razor in 1937. Early versions of which have been designed to allow shaving cream and moisture.
