In the last few years, I’ll bet you’ve heard someone talk about colon cleansing. The subject has become popular in recent years, but in truth, colon cleansing has been around for ages. Early mentions of colon cleaning even date back to biblical times, and today’s health food stores have shelves lined with different colon cleansers.

What accounts for the dramatic rise in people interested in doing colon cleansing these days? Part of it has to do with the rise in popularity of the Master Cleanse and other body cleansing programs. A body cleansing program removes a great deal of stored toxic waste from the body, and as these programs are marketed, people regularly talk about how much waste is trapped in the average person’s colon and in body. There are even some pretty incredible pictures of the filth that has been removed by colon cleansing. So, in a nutshell, more people are becoming aware of the need for colon cleansing, because more people are talking about it.

Diets and lifestyles have also changed a great deal in the last fifty years and even more so in the last hundred years. People today are eating more processed foods, and fewer foods from nature. This combination is a recipe that allows more filth to build in the colon, where it often sits uneliminated, because the fiber from natural foods that was meant to push the waste out of the body is regular missing form our diets. Unfortunately, though, when this waste sits in the colon, it putrefies, and the end result is often disease for the person that carries it.

In fact, some natural health care professionals believe that all disease begins in the colon and that all disease can be attributed to toxins stored in the body. But, through the use of colon cleansing methods like enemas, colonics, and herbal or oxygenating colon cleanser products, large amounts of this waste can be removed from the body - for good. And when the body and colon are deeply cleansed though body cleansing methods, it’s very common for health problems to up and disappear.
